mississippi jr. high school rodeo finals
Congradulations to all our sweet kids on a job well done at State Finals!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks to Ricky Thaggard for teaching Eden so much in so little time and thanks to his wife Genia for lending him and so much of their time, she could not have done it without you .Eden won 2008 Rookie of the Year! She also placed 2nd at state finals cutting and placed 3rd for the year and she only participated for half of the year, so that says alot for her. The other girls had all year and many more rodeos under their belts for points than she did and she still won 2 belt buckles and 3 envelopes of cash! We are so proud of her that it hurts! Watch out for her next year. Thanks again to all members of Thaggard Farms for all the early hauling hours and all that you do for Eden.
Congradulations to Mr. Caleb Thaggard for a job well done this year!
He left the award ceremony at the State Finals banquet with a MJHSRA horse blanket ,an envelope of cash and a great looking cow hide head stall that I sure would love to have for my big fat Palamino, but I guess he's not going to part with it, being that he worked pretty hard to earn it! Maybe the one he wins next year he might let me have.
Congradulations to Drew May and his title in the boys division as Rookie of the Year and placing in his cutting event, go Drew!
Last but not least go Dakota Thaggard on placing 1st in the cutting event at MHSRA State Finals and she's on her way to National Finals in Farmington, New Mexico. I wonder if Rick and Genia are grinning?
I am proud of you too Kyle Williams, I havent heard how you placed yet but I know you did well and we are all love you so!

3 Boring and useless random facts about myself:
1. My pet name my Grandfather had for me was '"Dirty Sally", like the one from Gun Smoke,
we had alot of the same hygene characteristics, I had not developed ocd yet.
2. I believed for the most part of my adolescent life that I was Laura Ingalls and Walnut Grove
was my home. Nellie Olson and I had alot of trouble for alot of years.
3. My OCD developed early on, this is hard to admit for the fear of my friends learning the
extent of it. But here it goes. I had several odd jobs starting at about age 12. One was in my
stepfathers dental clinic, one babysitting, and the other cleaning a hotel owned by family
friends. After I would cash all of my paychecks, I would come home and wash the cash, let it
dry and then iron it. It's final destination would be in a box where t he money would not get
wrinkled, scary hah?

Still trying to make my blog cool like all the other cool people, but it's not working out yet!! I do have hope because Heather thinks I can do this, so keep your fingers crossed!
Wishing for Eden to be watched over tomorrow and kept safe because this will be the first rodeo that I am unable to attend. My neck surgery is coming along. I'm in trouble with Heather because I'm in love with an Electrolux and I can't help it. Gosh Eden is a tattle tale!
Good luck to Caleb and Eden tomorrow in Wiggins, almost ready for state finals.
They are the two coolest cowboys and cowgirls I know, gotta love 'em both. Good luck to you too, Mango, our very own Electric Horseman. JC sends his best wishes to Dakota(please don't tell CP.)!
Thanks for the great supper Heather and thanks alot for the cake, I now not only have a seriously aching neck, but now I have a stomach that is entirely too full.
Thanks to everybody for being so kind to me and the children during this recovery time, it means so much and I love you all so.
Gloria and Renee' thanks for the visits in Jackson, sorry you were both blurry to me, but you both looked great. Love you both
Chandler-I did not forget you, your visit in the hospital was the best of all- you are getting so big. Thanks for all your kisses, they made me feel much better.
Thanks again to everybody.Andrea thanks for running a veterinary clinic for me and all the great food and spending time with the children.
Thanks for everybodys visit. Thanks for the house call, Dr. Pettey and nurse Heather.
Thanks for just hanging out in my room with me to everybody. Lots of thanks to my Mom and my aunt Rosemary. Dawn and Blaise, the food and visits were great. Thanks for all the yogurt and orders from my brothers, bossy as always, they have forgotten that I grew up, well sort of.
Hopefully Andrea will see this and feel sorry for me and help me to put just one picture on my blog. Blessed day to our rodeo gang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
